09/01/2006 THE BRIEDISH MANIFESTO:1. Brieden is a state of mind. 2. In Brieden we don’t “have a dream”… we have plenty. 3. Brieden is the best of Britain and Sweden but will grow to the best of everything. 4. Anyone who wants can be Briedish. 5. Think about yourself, but don’t forget how it affects others. 6. You should never be forced to use more than a 100 words to express your self. 7. Always try to be happy, and then it’s more likely you will make others happy. 8. A sincere state inhabits individuals. 9. If you’re evil, find out why and deal with it. 10. If you ever feel a need to be nationalistic, know that in Brieden it means “being a part of the rest of the world”. 11. Brieden has no tax because Brieden has no money. 12. Realize that every ethnicity is cool. 13. If you’re not honest with yourself, your honesty among others are limited. 14. Brieden is Anarchistic in the sense that there is no law. 15. You are allowed to think what ever you want. 16. If someone asks you to jump, think about why you’re asked to do so, then decide if it’s something you would like to do. 17. Learning (?) is not equal to intelligence. 18. If you yourself get an instinct to jump, you might sometimes benefit from doing so without thinking. 19. Always remember that even you are able to lie to yourself. 20. Brieden has no boundaries. 21. You should discuss what you think with others to learn more. 22. Always have the truth as a goal. 23. Some misandry or aversion toward men MIGHT actually be healthy. 24. You should never force your belief on anyone else. 25. If god is everything, you are god. And that means that the only one who could save or condemn you is yourself. 26. Brieden has no crime. 27. Brieden has no religion in its original sense, only common sense. 28. If you mean well, you can make art about everything. 29. If someone tells you that they are more intelligent than you, they are probably not. 30. Don’t rely on anyone (or anything) else to tell you what is right or wrong. Find out for yourself. 31. Britt art might be shit art. 32. Being Briedish is like being a good friend. 33. Don’t be cheap. 34. Traditions are fun if there voluntary but shit if there compulsory. 35. Al ways of expression should be encouraged. 36. Neither Brieden nor any state should have ownership on where or how to express oneself. Thus other Briedish rules should apply doing so. 37. Conversation is one of the greatest art forms when the truth is applied. 38. Listening is even greater… and understanding might be the greatest form of art. 39. All ways of “fancifying” your speech should have poetic reasons. 40. Never believe that the summarising of your self is greater than the content of others. 41. Paperwork and bureaucracy is the cancer of contemporary society, it drains our energy. 42. Keep your goal (if it is so) to be understood but forget al rules about writing. 43. If you’re willing to fight for a change of something, it’s always justified to complain about it. 44. An exaggeration in order to get a message thru is not a lie. 45. Loosing something is often more educational (and humbling) than winning something. 46. Have a goal of doing everything once, but don’t take it too seriously. 47. To have a belief is self explanatory. 48. Art theories are nothing but theories. 49. Don’t say anything if you don’t want to. 50. All the decisions you make concerning your body is yours initially to make. 51. Ask not what others can do for you; say instead what you can do for others. 52. Everything you say is a statement. 53. A moderate fusion between substance and mind is sometimes healthy. 54. If you mean well, you can joke about everything. 55. If you desperately need to escape… use television. 56. Enjoy the pleasure in other people’s way of expressing themselves. 57. Support everything that is free. 58. One psychedelic experience is necessary to grasp the limitations of your own mind. 59. Never “pay” too much for anything. 60. Al relations are precious, even the bad ones. 61. Don’t accept to be validated thru money. 62. Really believing that you’re healthy is almost as good as being it. 63. Find out what scares you the most: Being told what to do or not being told what to do, then live life accordingly. 64. If you like beautiful things, try to think of much as such. 65. If you like beautiful things, try to think of such as much. 66. Show your emotions as they are. 67. Rather become a misfit genius than a mediocre star. 68. Reduce commercial advertising. 69. Realise the importance of recognizing the player and the game, even if you don’t play along. 70. When you run out of excuses, don’t use art. 71. Propose to appose but refuse to abuse. 72. Don’t believe in great books of not relying in your own judgement. 73. Thinking that really happy people seem a bit indecent when your down is forgivable. 74. Consider what part you play in other people misery. 75. Try to believe in the fact that dying is probably really pleasant, but have no haste getting there. 76. Consider the statement that there is no discrimination between men and women, there is only discrimination between people with or without power. 77. Walk a lot. 78. Never force anyone into making decisions. 79. In Brieden it is impossible to get sued. 80. Any statement can be changed later on. 81. Being oblivious can be very soothing. 82. See yourself. 83. Being unreasonable often leads to more reason. 84. Do hope that God will save the Queen because she probably needs it more than you. 85. A thought doesn’t make a society but add an act and you might be on your way towards creating one. 86. An efficient use of little intelligence could be a lot. 87. If you loose someone close, don’t throw away all there ideas in sorrow. 88. Stupid is like stupid wants. 89. Often question the origin of your truth. 90. Making your own version is never a bad thing. 91. When you feel like shit, try not to act like it. 92. Learn the strategic advantage of asking counter questions. 93. If you feel like making something, make it. 94. Say that something is bad if it is. 95. Help someone out if you can. 96. Try to save the world, but never get depressed when you fail. 97. Be equal, but special. 98. Be loyal… but not stupid. 99. Treat your body like a temple… that you own. 100. If you try to kill yourself and fail, think of it as a success 14/11/2005 The art of Fredrik T Lindberg:Have a look at some of the art projects and works by FREDRIK LINDBERG. http://ateljen.50megs.com/ 22/10/2005 KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT SWEDEN/SWEDES?????If you got something to say on that topic, please write it down here in this blogg. Thnx 20/10/2005 theSwedish project.Project title: the Swede Project theme: Altering spaces
I will aim to prove a link between space and home, research the way we often relate to space in terms of narrative. My objective is to impose and create this narrative in a certain space by adding to it. I will use my own background as a Nordic Swede, my current situation living in London. I will use symbols from Sweden such as the flag. I will choose locations and add these symbols to create places of worship, recognition or what ever feelings the beholder might be experiencing. My interest leys in questions such as the Swedish flag sometimes being seen as a racist symbol in Sweden but appearing here in London it might bring a notion of home. These are questions I will try to answer and maybe I can even contribute to wipe some dirt of this strangely controversial artefact. Once altered, these locations will become both the artwork and the exhibition. I will also document the spaces with photographs in order to enable the debate about these questions/works to expand further than there whereabouts. |
